Every time Open Interest drops suddenly, something significant is about to happen in that market. Every time a trend is healthy and supported, Open Interest will confirm it — showing you that new money is actively entering on a weekly basis.
When Open Interest plummets, most retail traders have no idea. They take trades right at the worst possible moment. This indicator makes sure you are never that trader.
// Settings
Hide the Current Week Until Market Close — Default: On Hides the current incomplete week's bar until the market closes, keeping the data clean and final.
Weekly Step Look — Default: On Displays the Open Interest as a step-style chart aligned to the weekly reporting period.
Show Last Value Label — Default: Off Toggles a label showing the most recent Open Interest value on the chart.
Show OI Change From Previous Report — Default: On Plots the week-over-week change in Open Interest as a separate set of bars below, coloured green for increase and red for decrease.
Important: All settings are cosmetic only. No change here affects the underlying data or functionality. Always pair it with a Futures ticker to ensure the correct CFTC data is displayed.
